DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Position
Summary: Responsibilities include the setup and operation of friction block
manufacturing equipment. A Production Technician must be trainable to successfully
perform all areas of production , including Compound, Cure Press, Bagger, Preform, Finishing
Line, Inspection, Drill Operator, and other assigned positions.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
1.
Follow all safety rules at all times, using all PPE as required daily; maintain proactive attention to safety, including keeping work area clean and healthy.
Always inspect all equipment prior to use and report any discrepancies immediately.
2.
Follow all work instructions, both written and verbal, along with directions from team leaders/supervisors/managers to produce quality product. Accurately enter all computer data required for job tickets, production logs, etc.
3.
Inspect product for quality; if unacceptable, investigate cause, take corrective action,
and notify leadership. Accurately record all scrap.
4.
Know how to perform Preventative Maintenance for all areas of equipment and complete
PM's as required.
5.
Produce quantity of work daily as required. Adjust pace as required to meet deadlines and
schedules.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED certification required. Successful completion of pre-employment basic skills tests.
EXPERIENCE
1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions; ability to follow written and oral instructions; read and interpret precise measuring instruments; work well with others on the team; teachable, accurate, neat, respectful of others, flexible, manage time well, punctual, reliable, responsible.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Positive approach to work; initiative, leadership, creativity. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing; computer skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical lifting of up to 30 lbs. repetitively in a scheduled work day; walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting, carrying, overhead movement and lifting; ability to work in a heated environment; no allergy to nuts; successful completion of drug screen and post-offer physical exam.
