Database Technician
The NORIS Specialist is responsible for onsite Support and Development of Nemak data acquisition, reporting and analysis system on daily plant operations.
Responsible for preparing datasets that allow easy analysis of operational data and preparing key reporting architecture that presents operational data in the standard format of Nemak and collaboration on data acquisition design (NORIS) based on global standards.
This person will provide digital (Information Systems) solutions to aid process visibility that can improve productivity for manufacturing, business processes, inventory reliability (EBITDA), contractual compliance with client (Traceability) and identify OEE opportunities for improvement.
They will work closely with IT and other functional areas to identify opportunities to enhance and implement NORIS initiatives.
This role will provide onsite support for two plants and will require traveling between them.
They are located in Dickson Tennessee and Glasgow Kentucky.
Maintain the NORIS Master DataEnsure NORIS and SAP data match and troubleshoot issuesDesign data architecture to ensure reliability of information and operation needsExecute NORIS Scorecard assessment annuallyDevelop reports based on data from NORIS and other systems to aid in problem solving and visual managementIdentify and promote business enhancements and value using data analytics and smart technologiesEngineering requirements for continuous improvement of NORIS projectsPlan, Develop and Implement new NORIS featuresPosition RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering industrial, mechanical, computer technology or information technology2-3 years of experienceProgramming experience with any of the MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
Interest in data analytics and related programmingStrong English written and verbal communicationProject Management skillsAbility to prioritize workflow and have a sense of urgencyInterest and eagerness to learn new technologies, and apply them to solve problemsExperience with report development in SSRS, Tableau, or similar preferredExperience with SAP preferred Recommended Skills Architecture Business Process Improvement Business Processes Curiosity Data Analysis Data Collection Apply to this job.
